Project Overview
Seyitomer Thermo Energy Plant is located in the province of Kutahya. In early 90’s, plant’s cooling water requirements doubled due to a capacity increase. The scope of the project was to bring the necessary water from a nearby dam (Kayabogazi Dam) to Enne Dam, which is serving as the cooling water reservoir for Seyitomer Plant.
Project had an extremely aggressive schedule as the plant, vital for the region, became almost inoperable under the existing conditions. The region is pretty mountainous so the project required a lot of hard rock excavation, which created a serious problem in case of such a fastpaced job. Nevertheless, Tokyar accomplished the project on time, as expected.
